My Exact Words for the Election…

My Exact Words for the Election… 2008, delivered on October 26, 2008

 …and immediately following, for 2012

I believe the most important issue this election, which has implications concerning every other issue, is the definition of marriage. Godly boundaries are necessary. If we are willing to look into the future to see how the decisions we make today will affect that future, we should understand that the redefinition of marriage will completely destroy society, remove all the boundaries prescribed by God, produce a society of “if it feels good – it is good,” and give our children and grandchildren a future of confusion, depression, and destruction. Sex education for relationships outside of marriage, and alternate lifestyles will become the standard curriculum for all schools, elementary, middle, and high school.

Abortion, STD’s, divorce, and lack of commitment are just by-products of the ever increasing sexual revolution in our country. In the name of protection, Planned Parenthood is an organization encouraging ungodly behavior outside of marriage which will continue to result in a society without the boundaries that are necessary and healthy.

The re-definition of marriage will damage all covenants and commitments, all abstinence until marriage, increase abortions exponentially, increase STD’s exponentially, increase teen pregnancies and fatherless homes, and increase pornography until its completely legal and on every street, in every magazine, and in every television show.  Children and adults will be spiritually confused. Teen pregnancies, abortions, mental illness, loneliness, depression, murder, strife, and destroyed families will be infinitely more rampant and unstoppable.

The economy will increase for a time, but mostly in businesses that promote sin, divorce, abortion, pornography, selfishness, and unrighteousness. Eventually the economy will fail because there are no boundaries that make sense. The two greatest commandments of “Loving God” and “Loving Your Neighbor” will be reduced to loving self above everything.

If we change our laws away from God’s standards of righteousness, equality and justice for all will not increase, but, rather decrease. Our country was founded on God’s principles of law. We have made mistakes but we have also come a long way. Patience will have a perfect work if we hold fast, stay in love, stay constant, steadfast, and persevere in righteousness (James 1:4). Remember, the people rejoice!

As your Pastor, I personally encourage you to;

  1. Vote
  2. Vote for the values of faith, family, marriage, and life
  3. Vote that righteousness would prevail in our country
  4. Vote for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven
  5. Pray

Proverbs 29:2 (NKJV)
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Regardless of the outcome of the election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, or any election year thereafter, I will see you on Wednesday the 5th, to continue the commission Jesus gave us in Mark 16:15-18!

And now… My Exact Words for the Election… 2012, delivered on October 21, 2012

Not voting for biblical family values, and instead voting for the rights of abortion, same sex marriage, funding abortion, funding Planned Parenthood, funding embryonic stem cell research, no parental choice of schools, the unbiblical definition of marriage, the special employment rights based on sexual behavior, homosexuality in the military, government controlled education, government controlled health care, and the loss of religious liberty… you vote for a godless, broken, depressed, violent, and totally confused society. One without hope or a future! The choice is yours!

Again, regardless of the outcome of the election on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, or any election year thereafter, I will see you on Wednesday the 7th, to continue the commission Jesus gave us in Mark 16:15-18!
